Give Life Your Best Shot

I’d rather give too much than not enough.

I’m giving life everything I have. I’m not holding anything back. I’m not saving anything.

I’m leaving it all out there. I’m using every last drop. I’m leaving this world with an empty tank.

Want to get healthy and fit?

ACCEPT where you are today.

START from there.

Build on what you already have.

Slowly and steadily build strength and endurance.

There are no shortcuts.

It takes time and work to get where you want to be.

You can get there.

Do you have it in you?

Do you have the discipline and dedication inside?

Are you willing to be consistent, persistent, and patient?

Endure the short-term pain, struggle, and suffering and you will reap the long-term benefits.

Show Up Daily

I’m not the smartest or best.

I do have a strong work ethic. I show up everyday.

A strong work ethic will compensate for deficiencies in other areas.

We don’t have to be the smartest or best to work hard, be consistent, and practice discipline.

Show up ready to go daily.

Who Are You?

Know yourself.

If you don’t know yourself, how can others know you or get to know you?

Dig deep. Go below the surface. Who are you?

Know yourself so others can get to know the real you.

That’s Why I Did It

I just sent a couple text messages and had a brief phone conversation with somebody.

After the phone call, I received $15 dollars through a payment app. I didn’t ask for anything.

I immediately sent a thank you message and told the person I didn’t expect anything. The person said that’s why they did it.

I wanted to do it. I wanted to give. I genuinely wanted to help this person.

A $15 dollar surprise felt like a million bucks.

The person sensed I was doing something out of the goodness of my heart.

In return, the person did something out of the goodness of their heart.

There are good people out there. There are thoughtful people out there.

Be generous. Give. Give without expectation. Give because we want to.

Something good will happen to us.

Show Up for Yourself

When I started boot camp, I knew there was a chance of nobody showing up (except my wife because she’s loyal and always supports me, my ideas, and my dreams).

Whether 10 people show up or 0 people show up, I show up.

I show up for me. I show up because I want to. I show up because I care. I show up because it’s important to me.

Fear stops many from starting. So what if nobody shows up. When you do it for yourself and show up, you already won. Every person that shows up is an added bonus.

Don’t let fear stop you from starting. We all have to start somewhere.

Start with yourself. Build from there – slowly and steadily one person at a time.

Have the courage and confidence to start.

Don’t fear judgement. Don’t fear failure. Throw the opinions of others out the window.

Do it for you. Do it because you want to. Do it because it makes you happy. Do it because you love it. Do it for the right reasons.

Don’t expect anything from anybody. Keep working. Keep building. Be consistent. If nothing comes from it, at least you were brave enough to put yourself out there and try.

Pick-me-up

I love watching others step out of their comfort zones, try new things, and push themselves to be better.

It even sweeter when I’m involved in the process.

Helping others is rewarding. When we serve others, we feel better about ourselves.

Encourage and support others. It’s a win-win and may serve as a pick-me-up for yourself.

Be Brave, Be Real, Be You

We can act like we’re perfect. We can act a certain way. We can put on a show for others. We can make ourselves look good and sound good.

We may fool others, but we can’t fool ourselves. We can’t hide from the truth. We know the truth.

We hide because we fear judgement and the opinions of others.

We try to impress others. We try to be who everybody else wants us to be rather than who we are.

Have the courage and confidence to be real with yourself. Be brave. Be real. Be you.

Live on Purpose

Live in harmony.

If we don’t know what our priorities are, we can’t prioritize them.

If we don’t know what our values are, we can’t live in alignment with them.

If we don’t know what our principles are, we can’t live by them.

If we don’t know what we believe in, we can’t stand up for it.

Spend some time thinking about your priorities, values, principles, and beliefs. Write them down. This will help you live purposefully.

Fresh, Clean, Pure

I try to be open and transparent.

I have skeletons in my closet. I’ve said and done things I’m not proud of.

I feel guilt, shame, and embarrassment.

I’ve learned my lessons and won’t make the same mistakes again.

Experience is a great teacher.

We all have a past. We can’t change it, so there’s no sense in dwelling on it. I’m trying to let go. I hope you do too.

The good news is we all can start fresh from this moment forward. The present and future is a clean slate.

Let’s keep it clean and pure.
