Power of Habits

When we hit snooze, we get weaker.

When we skip a workout, we get weaker.

When we drink an extra drink, we get weaker.

When we skip reading, we get weaker.

We are strong.

Put an end to bad habits before they even begin.

We are disciplined. We have willpower. Did I mention we are strong?

Make a Good Decision

Make good decisions in the morning.

I’ve learned when I make good decisions early in the day, I tend to make good decisions the rest of the day.

For example, when I eat healthy in the morning, I tend to eat better the rest of the day. When I eat bad in the morning, I open a can of worms.

Make one good decision. One good decision will lead to another.

Get the momentum rolling in your favor. It all starts with your first decision when you wake up.

Say Goodbye to Fear

We can overcome some of our fears by experiencing the things we fear.

When we experience our fears, some fear may dissipate.

We may not be as afraid and it may not be as scary as we imagined.

Conquer our fears by facing our fears.

Ebb and Flow

Some days I wake up and say, “I got this.”

Other days I wake up and say, “What am I doing with my life?”

That’s life.

Life ebbs and flows.

Don’t get too high on the good days. Don’t get too low on the bad.

If you’re having one of those days, remember it won’t last forever and tomorrow will be better.

Follow Our Heart

Following our heart may not seem like a viable short-term option, but I believe it’s the right option for sustained long-term peace and happiness.


The less commitments, obligations, and responsibilities we have, the more free we are.

I am not saying not to commit. I am saying not to overcommit.

Be extremely selective with our commitments.

Learn when to say yes and when to say no.

Be ruthless with our time and energy. Protect them like we’ll never get them them back, because we won’t.

Take Care of Yourself

If you don’t take care of your house, it will fall apart.

If you don’t take care of your car, it will rot away.

Our bodies and minds are similar.

If we let them sit idly and don’t use them, they will deteriorate.

Houses and cars can be replaced. Our bodies and minds can’t.

Maintain your body and mind. Keep them active. Nourish them. Care for them. Strengthen them.

Build Your Dream

Build your dream or somebody will pay you to build theirs.

Create the life you want to live.

Cycles of Life

We have some control over our bodies and physical health.

A lot is out of our hands. We are at the mercy of nature.

I’ve learned we go through cycles and our bodies go through cycles. We change and our bodies change.

As much as we may not like it and try to fight it, nature always wins.

Fighting nature is exhausting.

If you are experiencing a high, enjoy it.

If you are at a low, remember, another high is right around the corner.

Don’t get frustrated. Be patient. Stay focused. Keep working.
