Be for, not against.

I still remember one of my 9th grade teachers talking about voting for a candidate not against one.

There’s a difference.

That has stuck with me.

This isn’t about politics.

This applies to all aspects of life.

Sometimes we’re forced to choose between the lesser of two evils.

But try to be for somebody, not against somebody.

Be for something, not against something.

Believe in something and stand for something.

Promote something and advocate for something.

Don’t bash others and tear others down.

Promote people and lift people up.

Don’t hope and wish for others to fail.

Win and succeed.

Stand for somebody and something, not against.

Build your case and platform.

See the good in somebody, not the bad in others.

See somebody’s strengths, not the weaknesses of others.

There will always be haters.

There will always people who play dirty.

That speaks to their character and makes them look bad.

Always take the high road.

And remember, “Winners focus on winning. Losers focus on winners.”
