I’ll be doing this again next Sunday.

I’ll be doing it with the same energy, enthusiasm, heart, guts, and passion.

I’ll be doing it better prepared and healthier.

I’m a natural-born competitor.

I’ll be fiercely, ferociously, fearlessly competing.

During my run this morning, as I was preparing for battle, I had some thoughts:

Nobody has ever achieved anything of great significance by being conservative.

Nobody has ever accomplished anything of great significance by playing it safe.

Lay it on the line.

Be aggressive from start to finish.

Take a chance at greatness.

Gigantic effort the whole way.

The time has come.

The work has been done.

It’s time for the test.

It’s time to see what I’m made of and capable of.

T.S. Eliot said, “Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far they can go.”

I risk going too far.

Robert F. Kennedy said, “Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.”

I dare to be great.
