We can try to avoid situations that trigger us.
We can run away from them.
We can hide from them.
Or we can put ourselves in situations that trigger us.
We can face them.
We can run to them.
Avoiding stressful situations is no doubt more peaceful.
But we grow through stress.
If we’re never in stressful situations, how can we grow?
Also embrace triggers.
Look at stressful situations as a test.
They’re a chance to practice our discipline, patience, and will.
They’re an opportunity to practice being a better person.
The more we’re tested, the more comfortable we’ll become and the better we’ll handle ourselves.
The more we practice, the more we’ll grow and the better we’ll be.
