I needed a proper reset.
My body needed some time off from running.
My body needed to recover and heal.
I needed to rest and recharge.
So far I’ve taken 12 full days off from running.
I’ll probably start running again tomorrow.
I don’t know how I did it mentally.
But I know it was the right thing to do.
I know it was good for me.
I know I needed it.
I’m learning from past mistakes.
Do it now or regret it and pay for it later.
Don’t carry nagging, lingering injuries and fatigue into the next training cycle.
Get healthy and fresh now.
Patience, discipline, and restraint will pay off.
A reset will do more good than harm.
I know it will benefit me.
With that being said, I’m excited and can’t wait to get back to work.
I have unfinished business to tend to.
