Yesterday I had an eye-opening moment.

I told somebody I run naturally.

When I run, I don’t put much thought into it.

I just do it.

This person went on to explain some of the mechanics of running.

It was jaw-dropping.

And it got me thinking…

Just because something is natural doesn’t mean it’s the right way and best way.

We go to school to learn better ways from teachers.

We go to practice to learn better ways from coaches.

If you’re serious about improving, use the resources available to you to learn and get better.

I still believe in doing things in ways that feel natural to me.

I’m also a believer in making tweaks, changes, and adjustments to do things better.

There are better ways.

Seek them.

Learn them.

Never stop learning, growing, and improving.
