My parents gave me freedom.

My parents trusted me.

My parents instilled values in me.

My parents taught me right from wrong.

They believed I had sense and had my head on straight.

They trusted I wouldn’t do anything stupid and reckless.

They trusted I was mature and responsible enough to handle it.

Was it warranted? I believe so.

Did I cross the line? Yes.

I also learned. And I’m better for it.

I want to be trusted and respected like my parents trusted and respected me.
