When it came to running, I thought I knew what I was doing.
I’ve been running for 15+ years after all.
I knew an average amount for a runner, but there were still some things that were unclear.
I knew enough to be good but not enough to be great.
I knew I was missing something. I decided I wanted to know more.
That’s when I decided to take the USATF certification course.
The coach that presented the endurance information changed how I view training.
Somebody who I never met in person and only spent a handful or so of hours with virtually had a tremendous influence on me.
Sometimes it takes somebody who’s been around the block to share their knowledge and perspective for it all to click and make sense.
There are people out there who know more than us and know what we don’t know.
One person can change our life.
Once we know, it’s up to us to do something with it and about it.
I lacked conviction. This coach gave it to me.
This coach not only helped me become a better runner but also inspired me to take what I know and pass it along.
