We’re taught not to dream.
We’re taught to play it safe and take the safe route.
I don’t know about you, but most of my life I was told things aren’t possible.
I was rarely, if ever, told anything is possible.
I was told everything I couldn’t do rather than everything I could do.
You want to be a professional athlete?
You can’t do that. Chances of you making it are slim to none. Almost nobody makes it. You’re too small. You’re not tall enough. You’re not big enough. You’re not fast enough. You can’t jump high enough.
I understand it’s hard and the odds are stacked against us.
But if we want it bad enough and work hard enough we can defy the odds.
Be honest with people. Be real with people.
But please don’t tell anybody it’s not possible. Please don’t tell anybody it can’t be done.
Don’t shoot down anybody’s dream.
Tell them anything is possible. Tell them it can be done.
Encourage them to pursue it. Support them in their endeavors.
Teach them to commit themselves and dedicate themselves. Teach them to practice. Teach them to work for it. Teach them anything is possible.
Then if you get a little bit lucky and catch a break along the way, it just may happen.
If you have a dream and pour your heart and soul into it and give it everything you have, you can make it come true.
I believe it. I believe anything is possible.
Before I go, I just want you to know that I believe in you, I support you, and I believe in your dreams.
Let dreamers be dreamers.
