I have a one-track mind.
I get something on my mind and it’s all I think about and all I want to do.
I get absorbed.
I become singularly focused.
When I get something on my mind, watch out.
I get hooked.
My life revolves around it.
When something is important to me, I’ll go to great lengths to get it.
I give up everything in pursuit of one thing.
I give up everything else to get it.
I become so consumed I neglect other aspects of my life.
I usually get what I’m chasing, but it comes at a cost. I neglect other people and aspects of my life.
I have an addictive personality.
I am obsessive and compulsive.
I have robotic-like habits, behaviors, and rituals.
Ideally I’d live in balance.
But I’m an extremist.
To an extent, some of these things can help us and serve us.
But they can also become a problem when they negatively impact other parts of our lives.
I may be obsessive and compulsive, but I believe that it can be a good thing in ways.
I’m proud of my focus, drive, determination, and consistency. I love my commitment and dedication to causes. There’s no doubt it helps me.
The reason I share this is because I believe it’s important to know yourself and know who you are. Know your issues and triggers.
When we’re self-aware and in touch, we can work on it, get better, and live better.
Know thyself so you can master thyself.
