I feel better mentally and physically when I eat better.

It could be the placebo effect. It could be in my mind.

If I feel better, why do I still occasionally overdo it?

Because “unhealthy” food tastes good.

Because eating “unhealthy” food is pleasurable.

Because I occasionally put myself in tempting situations.

While I’m eating “unhealthy”, I thoroughly enjoy it.

Then I feel guilty and regret it.

Then I’m hard on myself and beat myself up.

I struggle. It’s a battle.

Eat better more often than not. Do my best.

Balance feeling good while treating myself and fully living and experiencing life.

And remember, we only live once, so be sure to enjoy.
