With the conclusion of one race and commencement of another training period, here are some thoughts that have been on my mind.

They apply to life not just running.

Create new normals.

Set new standards.

Revise upward.

If you’re doing it right, you’re

not the same person you were six months or a year ago.

You’re not in the same place.

You’ve stretched yourself.

You’ve learned. You’ve grown. You’ve changed. You’ve evolved. You’ve improved. You’ve made progress. You’re stronger. You’re better.

You’re capable of more.

Recalibrate.

Raise the bar higher. Set a new standard.

This is the new you. This is a new phase. This is the new normal. Keep climbing.
