There’s such a thing as a good loss and a bad win.
A good loss is when we studied, planned, prepared, practiced, trained, and executed. We controlled the controllable. We played near our best but came up short. We made few mistakes. We did our best and gave it our best effort. The other person or team was better.
A good loss is a moral victory.
A bad win is the opposite of a good loss. A bad win is an ugly win. We weren’t at our best and didn’t play our best but still found a way to hang on and win.
A win is a win, but a bad win can be demoralizing.
Whether we win or lose, there are always lessons to learn and ways to improve. Get back to work.
