I value my routine. My routine benefits me, helps me, and serves me.

Here’s some context.

I’ve been waking up at 5:00 AM.

Monday I decided to sleep in and wake up at 6:00 AM.

I had less going on. I value sleep. I know how important it is. So I decided to sleep an extra hour.

My whole day was thrown off.

I didn’t feel right.

I felt behind. I felt rushed and flustered. I felt anxious and stressed.

When I don’t follow my routine, I’m out of whack.

My routine keeps me grounded. My routine keeps me sane. My routine keeps me in sync. My routine keeps me running smoothly. My routine keeps my rhythm flowing.

I’m a creature of habit. I believe in consistency. I believe in habits. I believe in a routine.

Power lies in our habits and in our routine.

As for that extra hour of sleep, I’m not sure it was worth it.
