Here’s what it’s like living with disordered eating:

1.
Wanting a sandwich.

Knowing I need to eat a sandwich.

Eating a sandwich.

Feeling guilty I ate a sandwich.

Hating myself for eating a sandwich.

2.
Wanting a sandwich.

Knowing I need to eat a sandwich.

Not eating a sandwich.

Constantly thinking about a sandwich.

It’s a lose-lose situation. If I eat a sandwich, I have more energy but get frustrated and depressed. If I don’t eat a sandwich, I’m weak, tired, and hungry and get frustrated and depressed.

I pray all those struggling with any type of disordered eating find comfort and healing.
