Business and Pleasure, Blurred Lines and Crossed Boundaries

When we mix business and work with personal relationships, lines get blurred and boundaries get crossed.

Are we family? Are we friends? Are we clients? Are we customers?

Over the past 3 1/2+ years, I’ve learned that mixing business, work, and pleasure can be tricky.

There’s more pressure. It’s more stressful.

It changes people. It changes our thoughts. It changes our feelings. It changes our relationships.

My relationships are more important than a dollar.

I miss the less serious conversations and more lighthearted interactions.

Sometimes we’re better off keeping an arm’s length.
