The quest for security, stability, and steady holds us back from living.
We trade our freedom for a cage.
We’re conditioned to value security, stability, and steady above all else. We’re taught it’s the right way to live.
We’re taught not to take chances and risks. We’re taught to settle.
The truth is nothing in life is secure, stable, and steady.
Anything and everything can be taken away from us at any given moment. We can lose our money, job, business, house, car, and clothes.
We can die. We can lose our loved ones. Accidents, disasters, and tragedies happen every day.
Security, stability, and steady come at the expense of our freedom. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t crave these things. I do. I’ve learned to. They seem safe and comfortable.
I also crave living.
I crave meaning and purpose. I crave living a life full of passion, energy, and excitement. I crave being alive.
Who’s ready to come alive? Who’s up for an adventure?
