Music plays an important role in group fitness. It’s fun. It’s a part of the experience.

I don’t have a music and dance background. My rhythm is subpar. I’m definitely not a choreographer. Have you seen me dance?

In group fitness class, I get a little bit off the beat – actually, a lot off the beat.

We all have strengths and weaknesses.

Don’t let the fear embarrassment stop you from doing things.

We learn, get better, and get comfortable with practice and time.

A workout is a workout. A sweat is a sweat. We can simultaneously train, have fun, and laugh while making a fool of ourselves.

I may not be good with music, but I do know how to train.

If we’ve showed up, moved, pushed ourselves, worked up a sweat, and had some fun, we’ve done what we set out to do.
