For those of you who don’t know, my family owns Howard’s Market, a small town old school grocery store. It’s been in our family since the late 1920s.

While growing up, I can’t help but to remember my dad saying something like, “Do you know how many loaves of bread I need to sell in order to buy that.”

Now that’s perspective.

Before we buy anything, think how long and hard we need to work in order to afford it.

Is it worth it? Is it worth trading our time for it?

I didn’t know the value of a dollar when I was younger, but I’ve learned.

Spend wisely. Shoutout to all of the people out there doing your best to support your family.

Thank you dad. I appreciate you. I love you.
